A “Pro‐American” French President?
A new French president Nicolas Sarkozy was elected on Sunday. He has known who has a pro American tilt, not like predecessor Chirac. By the way, new president Nicolas does not like Japan or Japanese culture either. He had commented “Sumo isn’t intellectual sport” before.
But he has articulate global warming plans which would lead to conflict with America. Article says, “Sarkozy plan to get his European Union partners to impose taxes on all polluting goods produced in countries that declined to embrace the Kyoto accords.”
He also tries to restore relationship with America, which once was tough at Chirac’s time.
I approve that he has strong agenda for global warming, and try to lead America to keep in step with global nations.
